The vases designed by Alvar Aalto were presented at the 1937 Paris World's Fair. Over the decades, objects designed by Aalto have become classics of Nordic design. The new 250mm vase is based on Aalto's original sketches from the 1930s, but has been updated in terms of size to suit today's needs.
Each vase is made at the Iittala glass factory according to the original manufacturing method by mouth blowing into a wooden mold. The manufacturing method gives the vase its beautiful, vibrant and individual surface. Rio brown is one of the original colors of the Alvar Aalto collection. Closed and numbered set of 2023 pieces.
